How many games at once do you usually play?

How many games are on your table at any one time, on average?

I average three, and have topped out at four. Don't think I could keep any more straight.

When I first got on this site, I was very enthusiastic and excited about playing Diplomacy. I had about 5 games going at once. That was... too much. I started getting games mixed up.

Now I do 1-2 games at a time. And NEVER as the same nation both games.

Same. Back in the glory days I had 4-6 going, with most being 12 hr. deadlines, (before I knew what a classicist was ).
Now I'm doing good to have 2, 3/2/2 deadline games.

The highest number of simultaneous games I've had at any one time has been six, but a couple of those were as replacements in poor situations, where I had joined as a way of paying forward to other players who step in as replacements for drop-outs from new games that I join from the start. It's hard to keep track of more than three concurrent games, and even more to do all of them justice.

I averaged 5 in my first year, got up to 10 at one point and realised it was stupid. Now I play 1 and occasionally start a second as one is coming to an end.

Hardly play at all nowadays. But a few years ago I could have a dozen active all at the same time

Like so many others, when I first found this site, I played up to 5 at a time. But I got burned out pretty quickly. Now I limit myself to about 4 per year online and 1 or 2 f2f.
