To give orders, you merely click on the territory containing your unit (not the unit itself, this causes confusion), and a dialogue box will pop up asking you to put your order in. It's all about clicking on the map, so it makes it very easy.

As for becoming a premium member, I think there's a "premium" tab on the home page you can click on. That should help some.

Edit: And I'm so good at being a member that I haven't even figured out how to do it yet myself! I suck at that just as much as I suck at joining facebook...

http://www.playdiplomacy.com/premium.php

You can use PayPal to buy a premium account (good for a whole year!) or get one free through the TrialPay service.

connect4 has the right advice about giving orders. It's a clicking interface. Don't forget which country you're playing as, too.

No, no, not stupid at all.

You are learning from your errors and from the questions you ask, and that's the smartest thing anyone can do.

Poor grammer and spelling indicate and educational issue, not an intellectual one ;)

Not asking questions is where you would indicate you were stupid, if you were!

well . i clicked on each piece and followed the instructions to hold move or support .

only problem is i cannot see anything to show how i move the piece to a new area -- i assume somehow i click on the new area the piece is to move to ?

last time i played we simply wrote the instructions down on paper . oh for the good old days

Yes. Also, if you click on the orders tab it will show you all the orders that you have entered.

I'm certainly with you on this one friend!

Welcome to the site - and if the good old days are some time ago don't forget to drop in on the oldies section of the forum and say hi to the rest of us old wrinklies.
