5 Player Diplomacy- Fall of Year 5

Postby Yhanthlei » 19 Jun 2011, 13:45

It's stretching the definition of "tonight", but I did get the map up in any case. Lots of movement and repositioning around the board, but surprisingly few territory changes at the end of Year 5. The Solar forces trade one center for another with the Black Hole Republic, and move their fleets out further into the northern seas. The Black Hole forces for their part seem to be committing more to reclaiming their homeland than getting involved in the fight for the southern lands. Blue loses a center to Green, but for the first time in the game a fleet slips behind Green's defensive lines, a crack showing in the Green defensive line. The Green Empire, for its part, is the only nation to end the year with a new build, but its advance is slowing and its future is unclear. The outcome of the game is still far from clear.

Retreat Orders for the Fall of Year 5 are due Tuesday, June 21 at 10pm GMT (Wednesday, June 22 at 5am GMT)

Build orders for the Winter of Year 5 are due Wednesday, June 22 at 10pm GMT (Thursday, June 23 at 5am GMT).
Green: 1 Build Order
Blue: 1 Disband Order
(Possible Build for Solar if the fleet is destroyed)

If these orders could come in before the assigned deadlines, that would be appreciated. All orders already submitted will be considered provisional. Feel free to confirm if you still stand by them.

Orders were as follows:

Solar:
KSH move PWR
COW move PWR
SOC move DOM
SYS move SOC
WYS move SYS
SWE Hold
ATB hold

BHR:
Fleet Cra -> Ksh
Army Hze support Cra -> Ksh
Fleet Res -> Jam
Fleet Rse -> Scr

Blue:
ccn to nor
dpw to ccn
wtr to wcs [Again, the canal does not work that way. Fleets can move through it, but at a rate of one province per turn. It's two constantinoples back to back, not a teleportation device]
fsh to ecs
ste to fsh
jen to wtr
man to mon

Green:
Fox SUPPORT Crs to Sqr
Crs MOVE Sqr
Atl SUPPORT Crs to Sqr
Tko MOVE Crs
Sqr MOVE Mon
Wat MOVE Not
Wcs MOVE Bok
Orb SUPPORT Wcs to Bok

Shouldn't the Yellow fleet in KSH have been dislodged, instead of moved to PWR? I believe he self-bounced in PWR, and was then subsequently dislodged by my fleet from Cra. It should then retreat, right?

Oh! You are quite right BigBert, and I'm terribly sorry to everyone for the mistake. The map will be updated to reflect the change, and I will send out a notification to everyone, as well as extending the deadline to accommodate adjustments to plans.

I'll retreat to DPW. I believe that retreat is valid.
