5 Player Diplomacy- Fall of Year 3

Postby Yhanthlei » 28 May 2011, 06:13

Year three comes to a dynamic close, with the Black Hole Republic and People's Republic each ceding ground and facing more than one enemy-including each other. The Solar Empire establishes a ring of islands around its homeland, and is in position to advance on Black Hole's western front, but a Blue fleet slips past to take the western half of a Solar island, with another fleet advancing on New Sweden's coast. The Black Hole Republic suffers from the loss of two territories and the game's first dislodgement, a major setback for one of the game's great powers, now likely envying the territory of its Solar rival. A triple bounce in the western seas is the calm in the center of a storm of fleets, and the relationship among the northern triumvirate is uncertain and potentially malleable. The Blue nation succeeds in annexing the province of fish, shows suspicion of but not hostility to the Green Empire, and assists the People's Republic in its northern invasion even as it shows no sign of outright cooperation in the south. The People's Republic is reduced to two supply centers with the unsuccessful attempt to reclaim the cars province, threatening its destruction. The Green Empire continues its slow but steady advance through People's Republic territory, facing some delays in the eastern chromatic sea from a People's Republic attack.

Green: 7 (1 Build)

As a reminder, orders should be of the form 5 Player Diplomacy - <Nation Name> - <Season> of Year <X>", followed by " (Provisional)" if the orders are provisional. Those of you who sent in orders of this form, you have my thanks.

Plugs: 1870s Diplomacy is looking for one more player to start, WW4 is still recruiting, and I have no sense of shame.

Deadlines: The BHR's retreat order will be due Saturday, May 28th at 10pm Pacific Time (Sunday, May 29th at 5am GMT). Build orders will be due Sunday, May 29th at 10pm Pacific Time (Monday, May 30th at 5am GMT). You are encouraged to send in winter build orders before the retreat deadline, if you wish, as the retreat order likely won't have too much effect on builds. We are using speed deadlines, if orders aren't marked as provisional.

I count eight with brd, man, ber, mon, bok, ste, fsh, and orb- Blue's four starting centers and the four central neutrals. Am I missing one?

Re: 5 Player Diplomacy- Fall of Year 3, with Retreats

Well, that was quick. Updated map included with this post. Okay, I'm going to take a guess that builds don't take 48 hours. I'm setting the deadline for builds for tomorrow, Saturday, May 28th at 10pm Pacific Time (Sunday, May 29th at 5am GMT), unless anyone wants to have the full 48 hours.

Wait. Let me try that again. Blue still has units. That didn't stop being a thing.

But Har isn't a supply center. 8 centers.
