Whereas, the Grand Alliance of Mexico, Peru, and the British Empire now controls the clear majority of the Americas,

Whereas, countless lives have been lost and property has been destroyed in the 8 years of war,

Whereas, the Grand Alliance has deemed their intention to neatly divide any remaining territory between the three powers,

On this date 21 September, 1908, I propose an official cease-fire in the Great American War, with the three leaders of the alliance: the Generalissimo of Mexico, The Presidente of Peru, and the Prime Minister of Great Britain declaring a joint victory, with the minor powers of Brazil and Venezuela capitulating and negotiating the terms of their surrender. A conference will be held in Jamaica in six months time to officially sign surrender documents and to hammer out a just and equitable peace for the continent.

I concur, However, as part of my agreement, I would like the amend said draw proposal to allow me a small island to rule as my own. In my opinion, it would take another 3 or 4 years of toil to defeat me, I don't want to be included in the draw victory, just recognized for my part.

I, Generalisimo AardvarkArmy of Mexico do hereby affirm my unwavering alliances with Britain and Peru, and do fully support the proposed cease fire.

In addition, in the magnanimous spirit of compassionate victors, I would suggest that the Northwest Territory would provide suitable asylum for the deposed leaders of Brazil and Venezuela -- it is spacious, unexplored, rich with natural resources, and would provide the change of scenery that might refresh after eight war-weary years.

Though the great nation of Peru struggled mightily with the decision to turn their guns against a trusted and valued neighbor such as Brazil, we do humbly accept the terms of the cease fire proposed by the Prime Minister, in hopes that the new age of stability can bring peace to those in South America who have it not.

No disrespect at all to Wilie900, but he will undoubtedly lose his last center - and, hence, lose his vote - on the Fall turn, so if he does not respond to this draw proposal, I really think Pedros should declare "Game Over"

However, until we get that official verdict from Pedros, I would urge my allies to submit Fall orders just in case...

I posted hold orders for Brazil, if you want to eliminate Venezuela to make sure the draw succeeds, that is fine, but holding off attacking me, although having no effect on the game, would be a welcome gesture from the "Grand Alliance"

Brazilian citizens spend their last days regaling the wonderful tails that was the Brazilian Empire. Its single handed conquest of Argentina, its perfectly times attacked on Venezuela, its eventual routing of the British from the South, and most of all, its knowledge that it would rather fight by a trusted ally and lose, than share in a devalued victory.
