Final Table

A suggestion - this is likely to be great fun with lots of twists and turns along the way.

Can I ask that everyone agrees to post an AAR when it is all over? They are sure to be interesting.

In one of the earlier rounds, I kept a "diary" which I filled in after every turn with my thoughts at the time. I then posted it unedited as my AAR. It turned out to be a bit longer than a normal AAR but was an accurate picture of the game through my eyes as it unfolded. Sometimes with AAR's written after the game, there is a tendency to write, taking the final position into account. Given that the game will run for a long time, no-one will be able to proprely recall all of the nuances so maybe this would paint a clearer picture if people don't find it to be too much trouble.

Good idea. I've started a diary for this game, where I'll make note of my plans and suspicions during each phase. I've already put down my guess for who is who. I'm curious to see, how many I've nailed before the first movement. 8-)

I suggest the top player in each group of 7 should PM the other 6 to find out who is intereseted, with responses needed by Fri 15 May. When the replies are in, it will be known who is up for it and the groups can be re-jigged as necessary.

BTW I confirm that I'm interested.

I have to say that the diplomacy in this game truly is worthy of a final. I really look forward to reading the AARs later and see what everybody was thinking.

Question for Ava/the Mods:

We have one player who is unable to continue at the moment. There have been a few suggestions thrown about in the Shout-box as to what should happen including that the Tournament Board should be asked to make a ruling.

My question is can the game be frozen while this takes place?

We are on a retreat phase at the moment. If the Tournament Board has to convene, do we need to time for this to take place? If a replacement player is introduced. do we need additional diplomacy time while the new player gets to grips with his position?

If there is no procedure for the game to be frozen, should the players agree that the retreat phase takes place and that everyone then places "Hold" orders for the next year in order to allow more time?

BTW - I'm not saying whether or nor I'm the possible retiree!

I'll confirm for the runner up game.
