Versailles II Deadlines-POLL

Postby QueenOfHearts » 24 Jan 2010, 03:21

Which is the preferred deadline. I personally can't do anything less than 24-24-24. Also, if you want, use your second voting option to check SPEED DEADLINES. Speed is enabled if 8 out of the 14 players choose it. If you want to 'finalize' your orders, just say finalized at the end of the PM.

PLEASE: ONLY SIGNED UP PLAYERS MAY PARTICIPATE IN THIS POLL!

Great idea, QoH. Since you or anyone dropping out would suck, I chose 48-24-24 and the Speed Deadline.

I strongly suggest to everyone else to choose the speed dealine, because otherwise the game may drag on after the first few turns.

48/24/24 speed deadlines
I enjoy having a few days for each movement phase, and I don't think that we need that long for retreats and builds. I also chose speed deadlines because there's no point in holding up the game if everyone has their orders in.

Why do you say that?

Yeah, I was wondering that too... :?

48/24/48 would give us 2 whole days to build. I don't know about you, shockj, but that seems like a very long time to just decide what to build and where.

But you probably meant that with the votes split between 48-24-24 and 48-48-48, a happy-medium would be achieved. Still, those times just don't flow well. No matter what, although 48-24-24 is preferred by me, the time for builds and retreats should be the same.

I picked 48/48/48, and if 72/48/48 was an option I'd vote for that, simply because NMR's suck hard.

With the speed option, things will likely move faster than that anyway.

I would favor 3 day deadlines more than 2 day if I had the choice. THat gives time for some really good Diplomacy to happen, which is the whole point right?

As far as 24/2 day, I think it just makes sense because Retreat orders can be done quickly, but Builds are very important, and you don't want to risk NMRs during a Build phase, so I think it deserves the extra day.

No  necessary, people.
