OK, well I guess I better start off with a :oops:

This should have been done 1,000,000 years ago. Remember how you spend 18 hours creating the perfect message, click Send Message, and it says 'ooops, you forgot to fill in the title / country'? :evil: :evil: :evil:

This came up yet again in Bugs yesterday and everyone patiently explained that some browsers have a back key, but the safe thing to do was to copy the text before sending in case you have messed something up. And then it finally sunk in to my miniscule brain - why? Why? WHY?

The raiser of the bug asked why the system couldn't handle it. And after giving the normal responses as above, I suddenly thought what a good question that was.

So, only 10 years late, hopefully the new code I have just loaded will mean that if you create a message and forget to add a country or a title or even content and you hit enter, YOU WONT LOSE IT! :D :D :D

Good job on adding that alert! This should save us from some embarrassing situations (I've found myself in one or two before...) Thank you very much.

Is it possible also to auto-draft unfinished messages or save them somehow?
So many times I was writing a long message and just had to check the board a bit... pressed that evil x and closed my text window...only to find my oversized message which included detailed tactics for 5 different possible variations is deleted. That tends to get annoying.

That small annoyance *1.000.000 adds up to a lot over time, so this is a great change.

That one might have to be down to the browser's 'go back' powers if any. I can have a think though.

There were some issues with the code to save your message text. These are now fixed. Basically, it was picking up a missing title or missing text fine and keeping everything else the same, just as it was supposed to. But if you forgot to put a recipient, it wasn't working at least on non-classic maps. You were still losing the message content.

This has now been corrected, although you may need to clear your browser cache to refresh the Javascript to see the changes.
