Also noticed that the buttons don't "shadow" like the current buttons do when the button press is "registered" (like when it briefly changes background colour after the button press - useful because it helps to confirm that the button press worked and not just a delayed response).

Like I said, ignore the buttons look and feel, we can deal with that if this looks like it might be a solution :)

I will try to get Chrome loaded and try it. I just tried it on my tablets too (both iPads) and the buttons look definitely bigger.

Much easier to use. My fingers feel smaller already. :D

Yes, that is probably the sort of size ratio I am seeing on my Android (and iPads). But in both cases I am using Safari. Chrome may be different.

I am now fairly happy with the buttons.

Basically, they look a little better now and I have added in the suggestion about giving some feedback on the click by adding a hover shadow. So you will note now that on a browser on a device with a cursor, the button darkens when you hover over it. On the phone, when you click a button it darkens before then dialogue box disappears. In both cases, it gives you extra feedback that you hit what you meant to hit.

I am actually wondering whether even to make this an option. I am thinking that I will put it up as a pilot option for the moment but also get feedback on whether it would be good for all users. I think it looks a lot clearer than the old text lines.
