Which buttons were you thinking of?

Just these buttons;Image

I sometimes misclick them, I'll end up clicking the support but think I clicked move. So I click Moscow move Sevastopol, but really I enter Moscow support Sevastopol to Black Sea. I'm used to zooming in a little when hitting that button tho. It's not a big thing but I can understand others having the issue.

What about arranging the buttons horizontally instead of vertically?

That would be a worthwhile change even on the regular interface. Especially if the text size was a little bit larger.

The supplementary prompts also:

Use convoy or land route?

CONVOY......LAND ROUTE

(2 buttons horizontally arranged)

On a slightly different topic: if you select "Convoy" then the order is recorded as being ".....by CONVOY" but if you select "Land route" it is not recorded as "...by LAND". No this is not pure pedantry - because if you select neither then it is recorded exactly the same as selecting "Land route" but that would be an illegal order (I think).

OK, tyring a different approach building on what has already been said.

If anyone wants to take a look, go into the game on the dev site and ignore he mobile option, just try clicking on a territory to move as you normally would.

What I have done is ultrasimple - I have just changed the lines with the move options on to be buttons. Note that they look crappy at the moment - don't worry, imagine they are artistic etc. The key question is does this improve things on mobiles? If so, it is tempting to just change this for everyone, and then we don't even have to distinguish between mobile and desktop players.

:(
Button size essentially unchanged so fat finger still an issue. It's the lack of vertical separation combined with the small button size that causes the issue, not the visuals around the button boundaries.

Three (not mutually exclusive) solutions :
1. Increase height of button.
2. Increase displacement between buttons.
3. Arrange buttons horizontally.

In each case the cost is real estate but for option 3 by economising on the words this issue would be mitigated.

Hmm. I tried it on my phone and the buttons are a lot larger than the text was. Wonder why it is not the same on yours. Might be browser specific I suppose - what are you using?

About four times the size on my android.

This change-resistant technophobe thinks it looks great.

Much easier to use. My fingers feel smaller already. :D

Chrome on Android (about version 4) tablet.

Also noticed that the buttons don't "shadow" like the current buttons do when the button press is "registered" (like when it briefly changes background colour after the button press - useful because it helps to confirm that the button press worked and not just a delayed response).
