I know, I know. Just venting. Sorry! ;) I'm an "oldie" but I play 24/24/24 most of the time. ;)

Yeh my usual deadline would be 24, although I'm tending towards longer deadlines now. But I also think that the longer deadline is necessary to make sure everyone has ample time for diplomacy. I know when I got to the Final of the main tournament, apart from the fact of work interfering, I also had to deal with my main ally keeping very different time to me. The short deadline meant we weren't exchanging messages and there wasn't the trust there that there might have been.

Yes, but longer deadlines give the other players more time to reconsider arrangements, and gives more time for seeds of doubt to grow, and allows players time to rethink impulsive agreement they have made with me, or even (gasp) start to doubt my sincerity!!!

(I was gonna lobby for 6 hour phases…)

I've tried before and found it difficult to handle anything faster than 48/24/24. 24/24/24 is doable, 24/12/12 is breakneck.

Hmm. Anyone up for an experimental 48/12/12 game?

Has any game finished yet? If so, where are the results posted? Thanks.

I am (barely) in PCC Game 3.1, and no end is in sight.

All games still going... all the results will be posted in this thread under their own posts which already exist. I'll just edit the post and put results up.

A request for clarification:

D1. Entrants must ensure that they remain anonymous whilst the game they are playing is underway. Players are also forbidden to explicitly claim a false identity in a game.

Could we please have a definition of 'underway'? More specifically, is a game still 'underway' when it is in the retreats-phase after a set of Fall-moves in which one power has reached 18 SCs?

I can answer that one. Unless any retreats could conceivably affect the 18 SC count (for example if a retreat could end up going to one of the 18) then the game is over.
