That's a real shame. When you signed up for the site you agreed to not communicate outside the game mechanisms. One way around the work block is to play games with longer deadlines so that you can get as much done as possible away from work. You may also find that people will not share email details with you anyway.

Yeah, i agree to all kinds of stuff. not a big deal, just curious more so. it didn't seem right. it actually seemed kinda weird but I thought there may come a time when it would be necessary.

In retaliation, I'm blocking all work related items from my home computer!

What exactly is blocking the site? Is it the browser, some sort of protection software?

Presumably a corporate firewall. All the big companies, and many small ones, have them, to keep employees from wasting paid time on YouTube, Facebook, Diplomacy, etc.

It's being blocked by something called SonicWall. From what I gather it's a 3rd party firewall/security/networking support solutions operation. Things like YouTube and Facebook get through. Game sites do not. Stealthy does not help.

Some people smoke cigarettes. I would rather check my games if I have a couple minutes. The funny thing is that I'm a better employee since I've started playing again. I'm more calculating and my long term planning skills are better that ever. Oh well. I'm not going to risk my job trying to break thorough a firewall just to see if England screwed me yet! I'm sure I agreed to not do that as well.

How about using your phone to check things? That way, you can use the mobile network rather than your office internet.
