Victory type

Postby Dduck118 » 08 Feb 2021, 10:25

Hi y´all

Im a huge fan of 2 player challenge, but is there any way to change the victory??

Everytime its starting to get interesting, one of the players gets enough sc´s to win, and the game is over.

Is it possible to "fight to the death" or until someone surrenders, regardless of your numbers of sc´s??

Hi,
Have you tried the original 2-player variant? At least you have to reach 24 centres.

No, the format in which you control 3 countries each - which is just not as interesting as the 2p Challenge variant... You have to get to 24, but you start on 9 or 10.

I wonder if a selectable option could be added (probably just to 2P Challenges, or maybe all unranked games?) in which the game creator can choose how many SCs are needed to solo (with of course the minimum at 18). Would this be extremely difficult to code?

I think you have to consider that once one player gets to 18, really they should have enough of a numerical advantage to finish things off. Certainly by the time one player gets to 24 then it's all over. Personally, I wouldn't want to be the defeated player who has to play on until my opponent owns all 34 SCs, else have my stats suffer with a surrender.

...OR have no set number of SCs required for a solo in 2p Challenge, but instead have a Concede button which does the same as Surrender, but doesn't count against you in any stats...
