For me, I ofter find myself wanting to use , shall we say, "colorful" language in some of my posts, usually not necessarily angry ones as much as those where I wish to express a sense of urgency. And invariably, the language I want to use refers to the situation and not the player(s).
And while my keyboarding skills and general hasty tendency to click send often results in several careless typos in the messages I send, for some reason, I am able to find ways to adjust my vocabulary to make my point without risking offence (due to word choice). Sometimes I am able to find more poetic and satisfying expressions. Of course there are also times when I really felt that the (expletive deleted, heh heh) word I replaced was the more effective expression. But even then, I usually felt better about choosing alternative language.
And I never direct epithets or personal attacks (foul or otherwise) towards anyone, which is not to say that I won't tell someone they made a stupid or ill-conceived decision.
Finally, I'll also take this one step further. While I have seen a few cases of what I thought was gratuitous (if not improper) use of language, the most offensive posts I have seen here were perfectly clean as word choice goes, but no less offensive in content. There are two people I have encountered here who I will not (intentionally) engage with because of their abusive behavior. Neither of them use any words that would be, by themselves, questioned by the moderators.
