Wait a minute, I put my name in, but this is the UGLY map? I've never played on that, never wanted to. I even hate investigating games played on that monstrosity. Why is that map selected. Haven't confirmed yet.....second thoughts, second thoughts. :o :( :o :?

I ventured there once...I never thought I'd go back...now I'm hearing the siren call...or maybe it implanted a magnet in me when I was momentarily unconscious after being overwhelmed by the monstrosity that is "v1".

I don't know if I can go through with this or not. I can live with "the" icons, but the map....the map......oh the humanity.......

Suck it up my friend, I'm having fun discussions with Alman while we're fighting withdrawals. We can have a recovering from map trauma therapy group afterwards ;)

I went searching through current games to find an instance of the map (very very hard to find as most people DON'T use it). Found one finally and am staring at it trying to find my happy spot. (and not wake the wife and kids up with the screaming/vomiting/weeping). You are a sweet talking Eskimo....maybe....but I'm not committing yet.

Do it...come to the dark side...the screaming and night terrors don't pass, but they do get slightly less worse in the fetal position.

What I'm saying is...hit the button/pull the lever!

I’m with Alman on this one. Was just about to request the game password when noticed the word “classic” in the map description & immediately went running scared. Get Super_Dipsy to delete it, so this travesty can no longer jeopardise the joy of Classicist Diplomacy. Either that or maybe change the descriptor to “pig ugly” as a compromise solution?

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished.

"Classic" is the variant, not the map. Is it just me?
