Hi All,

If you have a facebook account and are attending, please could you go to the page and confirm you are going.

This is important to me for two reasons:

1. It helps me understand numbers and keeps things in one place

2. Much more importantly it shows the level of interest for third-parties. If they can see that there is a decent level of genuine interest, then others outside playdiplomacy.com will be much more inclined to sign up. Some people such as Jack and Andy H will be flying here and most attendees will be spending hard-earned cash on hotels and committing a weekend of their lives. We can't expect others to sign up on a possible maybe, they need to know it's a serious event that is 100% proceeding, with decent players attending.

No worries Strat, it doesn't have to be everyone, it's just that at present there are only three interested parties showing on there and it doesn't look good to anyone who isn't in our gang!

I am reluctant

I am on FB but like to try and keep personal and professional life separate.
It was always a bugbear when I went to a FTF in London and then my unusual name meant it was all that came up if you googled me.
Would it be. easier for AH to get a playdip account. There are stalkers on FB. FB is evil

As far as I can tell we have 9 from this site plus Andy H as confirmed. I've got a few local friends who will almost certainly join us as well, so that should be two boards, which is a good start

On a more serious note, I wish I could go to events like these. Perhaps when I graduate I can start attending. Phlegmatic, good luck getting everything in order.

Good to see Captainmeme will be attending. I’m heading down to the London Diplomacy Club next weekend where Marvin and Greg are hosting a game of Colonial Diplomacy. I’ll try to generate some interest there for MaccCon. We all want it to be a success. Can you recommend any of the hotels near the venue Phleg? Also - with that many people attending might it be wise to reserve tables at a curry house?
