Hmm, I have the mild interest of a sleeping cat when someone enters the room

I’d rather be repeatedly hit in the face with a wet fish, but thanks

Derbyshire based F2F day?

Postby Woolgie » 10 Apr 2018, 21:30

I'm thinking of hosting a casual face to face diplomacy day, sometime in the summer, in Chesterfield UK. Maybe just one game, maybe a couple if there’s lots of interest. I have a licensed venue I can use for very cheap, and there could be a prize.

So, my question is simple - who is or might be interested in this? Are there enough people around the area or am I wasting my time?

I'll come:
If someone will put me up overnight on a Chesterfield in Chesterfield. It's a fantasy.
If we get to drink lots.
If GPD buys me a sausage supper
If you all look after me
If you get Dib and Big Gun to go too

And because I like you, I'm quite happy to beat you repeatedly with a wet fish

Woolfie?

Chesterfield is famous for sofas and a jaunty-angled church spire BUT does it have a good chippie where GPD can buy my sausage?

It has more takeaways per square foot than the takeaway town I just made up in my head, and that’s a lot.

I thought you would prefer a Mars bar fritter and chips?

The Scots are a creative and inventive bunch.

Having created the ubiquitous Scottish delicacy of deep fried Mars Bars in 1995, they have spent the next 20-odd years experimenting. Deep frying everything they can get their hands on.

What We've Learned

1. Not everything is improved by deep frying. Fish and sliced potato were lucky guesses.

2. Battered Deep Fried Big Macs are to be added to the Scottish McDonald's menu.

3. You can't deep fry cucumbers

4. Battered deep fried shortbread is even more awesome than deep fried mars bars

5. Deep fried dry-roasted peanuts turned out to be a far more versatile snack than anyone ever imagined

6. NOBODY can eat a battered deep fried pickled egg. They are a vicious instrument of torture
