If students are not obeying my instructions, is there a way for me (teacher) to disable their account? It seems some of them are messaging others during other teacher's class-time, which they were warned against doing. I need to have the ability to discipline those who are undisciplined.

On the Teachers page, you can ask for a list of your accounts and the passwords, which will be emailed to you. You can now log in to the offernders' accounts and if you wish change the passwords so they cannot use it any more. You can now give it to someone else to use. To change a pasword, once logged in go to My Account (top right of the Home Page) and you will be able to change the password there.

Or if you need the account actually disabled, a Mod can do that for you, just let us know.

Hello,

I work at an English Conversation School, so students usually come only once a week.
I was wondering if it is possible to have longer deadlines, I was thinking something like 2 weeks to enter moves, or maybe like a given date for each turn.

If it isn't possible, would you have any suggestions on how we could setup the game to give enough time to the students for negotiations?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

7 days is the max deadline a game can give you. However, you may be able to force 1 week 'breaks' to arbitrarily extend the deadline; especially in a teachers game.
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

Chris, the site codebase does actually support 14 and 30 day deadlines, but you can't set it through the normal methods. The good news is that means it is really simple to handle your request. If you set up your games for your students and then PM me with the game numbers, I will flip the flag to set them up as 14day dealines (or 30 if you prefer).

Oh, that would be great! Thanks!

We're still in the process of checking which groups are interested in the game and I'll setup a game. I'll message you when I have the game number.

Hello,

I sent a PM to super_dipsy on Thursday to extend the deadlines for game 135473 to 14 days instead of 7.
I don't know if he's busy or offline; but if somebody could do this, I'd appreciate it since we'd like to start playing this week.

Cheers,

Chris

I have made the change to 14 day orders/ 7 day retreats/ 7 day builds. If you want something different, post again or PM me and I will change them.
