Doodleplomacy play test (3/7)

Postby Jobson15 » 09 Feb 2010, 08:26

I was looking through the Forum (as you do) and stumbled across a map that Mudkip had doodled. I thought it would make for a pretty interesting game, but sadly it hadn't gone anywhere. So, I've named the provinces and I'm going to run a playtest. Is anyone interested?

Any comments and suggestions about the map, such as balance between powers, potential flaws, and possible changes are welcomed and encouraged

So far the only Playdip player to survive an attack by armies, fleets and an ax.

Whatever changes may or may not be needed, I think we can all agree on the territory naming conventions. Well done.

Strong S Weak
Knife - George

Sounds fun. Although I have no idea why you've made it possible for players to have A Dick...

It reveals how big a geek I am that the first group of seven that pops into my head is the SI base units.

The seven deadly sins would have worked too.

Pride
Envy
Gluttony
Lust
Anger
Greed
Sloth

Gluttony SUPPORTS Sloth
Pride MOVES Anger

Anybody have any comments that aren't about the names of the provinces? Anyone interested in giving this a test run?

Actually, Yes I'd like to go ahead do a test game! And If we don't go random, the Pink Nation (Sex, Drugs, and R&R) would be my preference.

EDIT: Which Units are places where? Or is there Winter 1900?

I'm not really sure about unit starting positions. I think I'd give each power two fleets and an army to start with, but if more people want to do Winter 1900 then that's fine by me.

How about armies in Good, R&R, Knife, Spirit, Me, Hear and Dick? I think that this gives each power the most options for 1901. I'll put up a map with starting units in a bit so that people can have a clearer idea of what that would look like.
