not sure what Information on the Mainboard you mean. My question would be how 3 and 4 players (gunboat) games are distributed on start. cant find an explicit description. :?:

There is a link on the Home page under Guides>Game Options. But I have copied it for you here.

Thanks WHS. (and bonnie)
8-)
So..
4-player game: England; Austria and France; Italy and Russia; Germany and Turkey.
3-player game: England and Germany and Austria; Italy and Russia; France and Turkey.
2-player game: England/Russia/France; Germany/Austria/Turkey; Italy special.
.. are the start conditions.
Isn't England a bit weak in the 4 Players setup? Any expieriences?

They are...but the also have a super defensible position...and a good diplomat can parlay that "weakness" into having no one want to focus on them.

What would be a decent start position for a 4 player gunboat game? Would it be balanced the same?

Someone is getting screwed into only 1 country...no matter how you split it. So you may as well follow the rules.
