When 1/2 your board is in CD...you end up with EF vs TR cause if you fight then the other side gets to blow through neutrals...So it forces alliances and then its when do you stab your partner...I think IIRC I did it once...wasn't fun.

IMHO there is no good 4 person game of standard Dip. For 4 or fewer, you gotta play Escalation to have an interesting game at all.

What Escalation? Do you mean the Wargame: European Escalation gameplay?

I was reflecting, whether the 4 edge powers could play as themselves, with all other SC's as neutral starting SC's. (With or without passively holding units on them.) Of course there will be a run to these Sc's firsthand, but then the game would develop, don't you think so?

No, Escalation the Dip Variant.

My post is only useful in a FtF context. Sorry if it wastes your time.

Oh I see.
No waste, you already helped me a lot, WH.
Well, I would like to setup a 4 player gunboat game (or PP), preferably as a live game next week or so, if there is an interest by anybody to try this out. We probabely need the help of Dipsy for the setup. :|
