This sounds like a great idea. I've tried getting back into Diplomacy but if anything I've been preferring the not so competitive / more casual games. So having a game that is limited to the more average players might be more to my liking. However I would still prefer these games to be under the Classicist banner due to the better reliability rate.

Given how quickly this has been picked up, perhaps we could another sub 1300 game going?

Yea, this was a good idea. Seems like so many games you see advertised are high-ranking games. Even the biggest and most hyped-up tournaments are meant for only the top ranked players (though to be fair those games are very fun to follow and go through the AARs).

hopefully more games like this keep happening. I'd consider joining one.
