I shall follow this with interest. Organising something like this is rather beyond my means, but I could mobilise myself and a few others from webDip, and would be happy to advertise strongly on the site once a firm date is set. We don't have a particularly large UK crowd, but we managed to get a game in London with the help of the LDC for when a webDipper was visiting from Seattle. It'd be really nice to see some actual tournaments (IE. Not MidCon) in the UK, as the WDC was a lot of fun.

We need to get numbers committed, so I can pay a deposit on the function room, if it is a goer.

NB if we don't get any commitment on numbers it won't be happening. Any ideas? I am happy to book a room in advance if I have promises from a good number of people. I am assuming I will need to pay a deposit. We could also do with early booking of rooms, so we don't have to spread across multiple hotels. I think setting the date and booking the conference room is the priority, as I don't know how far in advance we would have to book to ensure we can get one. Then closer to the time we would need to organise the event itself, with comp rules, and the game resources. I would need some assistance with that too.

So the way things are looking we can do this in one day 'round my house with the requirement of three sleeping bags four bottles of Thunderbird and all the central nations in civil disorder?
